All of us have made mistakes and done things that we wished we had never done. There is only one man, Jesus, who lived a perfect and sinless life. No matter what you have done, Jesus wants to make you a new person. All you have to do is ask Him. Here are a few simple steps that lead to forgiveness and a new life. Knowing your sins are forgiving is as simple as these steps:

Admit that you have sinned.  (1 John 1:9) “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”. Sin keeps us apart from God but He loves everyone and wants us all to become members of His family (John 3:16)"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”. The Bible says that we all have sinned (Romans 3:23) “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. The punishment for our sins is eternal separation from God and heaven (Romans 6:23) “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”.

Believe that Jesus is God’s Son. You must believe that Jesus is God’s Son and that He died to offer you forgiveness (1Peter 2:24) "Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed". He died on the cross for our sins (Romans 5:8)."But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us".

Confess your sins. You must be truly sorry for your sins, turn from them, and ask Jesus to forgive you (Acts 3:19) "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord". (John 1:12)"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name".

Are you ready to take the next step?

                                                                    Prayer

Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner and I ask You to forgive me. Forgive me and make me a new person. I believe You died on the Cross to pay the penalty for my sin. I invite You to come into my heart and into my life. By faith, I receive You as my Savior and I place my life in Your hands. Thank You that You died to give me the gift of eternal life. Thank You that according to Your Word You have come in and made me Your child. Jesus, help me to live the rest of my life to please You. Amen.

Congratulations! If you have prayed that prayer, you have just made the most important decision of your life. Here are a few steps to help you in your decision to follow Christ.
